Venus OS v3.65 Update
Feature Update RV-C
Venus OS for GX devices now has significantly improved support for devices connected via RV-C, as well as integration into RV-C systems.
RV-C In
Venus OS now receives data and integrates with generator controllers (including Wakespeed WS500, Arco ZEUS, Revatek Altion) and batteries such as Battleborn with DVCC support. This means that the GX can natively read their operating status, limits and charging requests directly from the RV-C.
RV-C Out
Venus OS can now actively communicate and control automatic start/stop of GX generators and generator chargers (including Orion-XS and supported third-party regulators). The update also adds new messages for Lynx Smart BMS NG, as well as improvements and additional messages for chargers, inverters and inverter/chargers. These RV-C Out messages allow other RV-C devices on the network to recognize, control and monitor Victron equipment as native RV-C nodes.
Bugs and improvements
Fixed an issue that sometimes resulted in login data being lost when using Remote Console on LAN, requiring a re-login.
Node-RED on Venus OS Large:
- Fixed «Not connected to D-Bus» error on some nodes after (re)deploying from the stream editor.
- Prevent Node-RED from crashing when passing null or undefined for «text» when setting node status.
- Fixed network counter frequency readings for EM540 and several other counters.
- Improved first time use of Node-RED by automatically enabling the required config node.
How to install the update?
Venus OS version 3.65 is available for all GX devices. Color Control GX is currently supported up to Venus OS version 3.55. CCGX is not upgradable beyond version 3.5x via the online update method, but can be upgraded to version 3.65 via USB/SD card. For more information, refer to Chapter 9 «Firmware Updates» in the GX device manuals.
