What is PowerControl?
PowerControl — is a function of Victron Energy inverters and inverter-chargers (MultiPlus, Quattro series), which allows you to limit the current consumption from an external source — mains or generator.
You set the maximum threshold in amperes, and the device automatically monitors that the total load consumption and battery charge do not exceed the limit.
📘 Application examples
Many private houses in Ukraine are allocated only 5-7 kW (1-phase or weak 3-phase). If you turn on the air conditioner, boiler and stove at the same time - the machines will knock out. PowerControl maintains limits (e.g. 16 A) and reduces battery charge if necessary to avoid overloading the network.
In motorhomes / campers / yachts in campsites often only 6-10 A is available. PowerControl allows you to set a limit and be sure that the refrigerator, battery charging and air conditioning together will not exceed the connection capacity.
Mobile gasolineand diesel generators usually have 2-5 kW. PowerControl guarantees that the total load with the battery charge will not exceed the generator's capabilities.
