KS 24VM-DC — this is an innovative DC generator from Könner & Söhnen, designed specifically for charging 24 V batteries. Unlike traditional inverter or gasoline-powered AC generators, this model is designed to directly power batteries in off-grid or backup power supply systems. It is ideal for solar inverters, energy storage systems, and facilities where stable battery charging is critical.
The generator operates according to the IUo characteristic, which means: initially, the battery is charged with direct current until the target voltage is reached, and then the device switches to a constant voltage maintenance mode. This significantly extends the service life of the batteries, protects them from overcharging, and allows them to reach their maximum capacity.
Thanks to its compact size, light weight, and low noise level, the KS 24VM-DC can even be used in private homes, cottages, or small offices. The built-in LED display shows key parameters—voltage and current in real time—making operation as convenient as possible. Additionally, various start-up modes are available: automatic, manual, and external control via dry contacts, allowing the generator to be integrated into complex power systems.

How it differs from generators with ATS
Unlike classic gasoline or diesel generators with variable voltage (220/380 V) and ATS units, the KS 24VM-DC has its own built-in automatic control system. Its main task is to charge batteries with direct current. It automatically starts when the voltage is low and shuts off when the upper threshold is reached. Thus, this generator acts as an intelligent charger rather than a universal AC power source.
