The Victron MIDI-fuse 50A/58V is a high-precision, fast-acting fuse designed to provide reliable protection for equipment in 48 V DC systems. It provides an effective response to overloads and short circuits while maintaining a low voltage drop and minimal internal resistance, which is critical for high-efficiency systems.
Key benefits of the MIDI-fuse
- Certified operating voltage — up to 58 VDC, ideal for 48 V systems
- Rated current: 50 A — optimal for protecting inverters, controllers, and batteries
- Low voltage drop: 65 mV — minimal power loss
- Cold resistance: 1 mΩ — high efficiency even during prolonged operation
- Compact MIDI form factor — saves space in the panel
- Compatible with Victron Energy’s MIDI Fuse Holder
Technical Features
- Fuse type — trips when the current exceeds the rated value, preventing damage to cables, batteries, and electronics
- Low cold resistance — suitable for applications with high inrush currents
- Compact — smaller footprint than the Mega-Fuse
Application scenarios
- Protection of power cables in 48 V battery banks
- Protection of power lines to inverters (MultiPlus, Quattro)
- Use in solar systems for MPPT controllers
- Campers and mobile power systems with 48 VDC
- Industrial systems requiring high compactness
