MEGA-fuse 500A/32V — is a high-current fuse designed to protect DC systems in Victron Energy electrical solutions. It provides reliable circuit protection against overloads and short circuits in systems up to 500 amps at a rated voltage of up to 32 V (12 or 24 V).
Ideal for protecting inverters, chargers, battery cables, and DC busbars where a fast response to current anomalies and minimal resistance are critical.
Key advantages of the MEGA-fuse
- Rated current: 500 A, voltage — up to 32 VDC
- Low internal resistance: 0.1 mΩ — minimal energy loss
- Voltage drop: 70 mV — optimal electrical efficiency
- High response speed during a short circuit
- Standardized MEGA format — compatible with popular holders
- Compact size, easy installation
- Certified by Victron Energy — works perfectly in combination with other equipment from the brand
Technical Features
- Fuse type — trips when the current exceeds the rated value, preventing damage to cables, batteries, and electronics
- Low cold resistance (0.1 mΩ) — suitable for applications with high inrush currents
- Provides selectivity — in multi-level systems, allows for proper calculation of cascaded protection
Application scenarios
- Protection of battery banks in 12/24 V systems
- Protection of Victron Energy inverters (MultiPlus, Quattro)
- Protection of cables and DC busbars
- Marine systems — where compactness and reliability are critical
- Motorhomes and campers — protection for high-current loads
