Riello UPS Sentinel Rack Repair

Total-Energo LLC provides a full range of services for repairing Riello UPS Sentinel Rack series uninterruptible power supplies — single-phase online UPSs in a 19" form factor for installation in telecommunications cabinets. This series is designed to protect critical IT loads, server equipment, data storage systems, and network infrastructure. Sentinel Rack models have a power range of 1,500 to 3,000 VA, with support for external battery packs and monitoring systems. The UPS units have high efficiency (up to 94%) and provide reliable power supply in double conversion mode (VFI-SS-111).

We perform repairs of any complexity involving the replacement of power boards, displays, interface modules, ventilation, and batteries. All work is performed in accordance with the manufacturer’s technical documentation, using original Riello components.

Repair Work Procedure

• UPS Diagnostics — inspection of the inverter, rectifier, bypass, logic, display, communication boards, and cooling system;
• Battery condition assessment — testing of internal resistance, voltage on each cell, temperature regime, analysis of event logs;
• Preparation of a defect report — list of malfunctions, agreement on repair costs and timelines with the customer;
• Supply of spare parts — original power modules, displays, buttons, interface boards, fans, batteries;
• Device cleaning — dust removal, contact inspection, replacement of thermal pads and temperature sensors as needed;
• Repair work — replacement and configuration of boards, restoration of operational logic, software updates, and controller reflashing;
• Commissioning — checking all operating modes: mains, battery, bypass; stability of power parameters;
• Load testing — monitoring output voltage, battery life, and switching between power sources;
• Signing of the work completion report — detailing all actions, test results, and photographic documentation.

For complex cases involving board repair or reflashing, we offer the option of repair at the service center of Total-Energo LLC.

Battery replacement

The Riello Sentinel Rack supports external and internal VRLA batteries. We offer:

• Professional replacement of AGM or GEL batteries — taking into account the UPS’s technical specifications, operating temperature, and autonomy requirements;
• Upgrade to LiFePO₄ — to increase runtime and service life:
  • Service life of over 6,000 cycles at deep discharge;
  • Reduction in battery pack weight by up to 40%;
  • Compatibility with BMS, stable operation at high temperatures;
  • Higher safety — thermal stability, no risk of fire;
• Design and installation of external battery cabinets — to extend runtime.
