Total-Energo LLC provides a full range of services for repair and maintenance of Riello UPS Sentinel Dual uninterruptible power supplies—universal onlinedouble-conversion UPS (VFI-SS-111), designed for operation in both vertical (Tower) and horizontal (Rack) configurations. The Sentinel Dual series includes models with capacities ranging from 3 to 10 kVA, which are widely used in the IT sector, medical facilities, automated manufacturing, as well as in critical facilities with high requirements for uninterrupted power supply.
Equipment in this series provides high efficiency up to 96%, extensive communication capabilities (RS232, USB, SNMP, Modbus), and extended runtime through external battery packs. We perform repairs of any complexity — from fixing local malfunctions to complete system reconfiguration and battery replacement.
Repair Work Procedure
- Initial Diagnostics — analysis of the inverter, rectifier, bypass, control board, display, switching logic, and ventilation status;
- Battery evaluation — testing of voltage, capacity, internal resistance, checking of temperature conditions and the status of the BMS (if present);
- Preparation of a defect report — including a list of identified issues, replacement parts, repair timelines, and budget;
- Supply of components — only original spare parts: power modules, logic boards, fans, displays, keyboards, sensors;
- Device cleaning — dust removal, cleaning of ventilation channels, replacement of thermal pads, inspection of contacts and connectors;
- Repair and upgrade — replacement of damaged components, logic configuration, firmware updates, and parameter calibration;
- Commissioning and debugging — checking operating modes (mains, battery, bypass), output voltage stability, and transitions between power sources;
- Load testing — simulation of emergency scenarios and confirmation of operational readiness;
- Signing of the work completion report — with a detailed technical conclusion and recommendations for further operation.
We perform complex repairs or equipment upgrades at the service facility of Total-Energo LLC, where bench testing and in-depth diagnostics of all system components are available.
Battery replacement
Sentinel Dual supports both internal and external battery modules. We provide services for:
- Replacement of standard VRLA (AGM, GEL) batteries — in accordance with UPS technical specifications and taking into account operating conditions;
- Upgrading the battery circuit to LiFePO4 — with integration of monitoring systems:
- Lifespan of over 6,000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge;
- Lighter weight and more compact;
- Enhanced thermal stability and safety (not prone to ignition);
- Flexible adaptation to autonomy requirements.
- Design of a backup power system — to achieve the specified runtime.
Service support
- Scheduled maintenance — annual or quarterly inspection of UPS, batteries, ventilation, interfaces, and software updates;
- Emergency response — prompt on-site visit by a specialist within 24 hours anywhere in Ukraine;
- Remote monitoring — via SNMP/Web/SIGMA systems, with event logging and analytics capabilities;
- Staff training — instruction on operation, testing, log reading, and connecting external batteries;
- Digital service history — access to an archive of service reports, defect reports, and replacement history.
