Total-Energo LLC provides a full range of repair and maintenance services for Socomec MODULYS XL uninterruptible power supplies — an innovative modular three-phase double-conversion system (VFI-SS-111) designed for mission-critical facilities with high requirements for uninterrupted power supply. The MODULYS XL series supports “hot-swap” modules with a capacity of 200 kVA each, scalability up to 2400 kVA, full N+1 redundancy, a built-in automatic module synchronization system, and an intuitive control interface.
Our specialists provide repairs of any complexity — from restoring individual modules to comprehensive modernization of battery systems. Work is performed in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations and using original spare parts. We guarantee technical compatibility, preservation of modularity, and system reliability after servicing.
Repair Work Procedure
- Comprehensive diagnostics of each module: inverter, rectifier, communication board, power contactors, ventilation system, BMS, event statuses;
- Diagnostics of battery cabinets and batteries: assessment of residual capacity, internal resistance, cell balance, insulation testing, and BMS logic verification;
- Preparation of a technical report with a complete defect analysis of each module and a forecast of the battery section’s service life;
- Supply of original spare parts (IGBT modules, logic boards, interfaces, fans, enclosure components, BMS units, transformers, sensors);
- Cleaning and preventive maintenance of all components: dust removal, replacement of thermal interfaces, ventilation check, contact cleaning;
- Module repair: replacement of power components, restoration of power lines, firmware updates, configuration of module parameters according to customer requirements;
- Commissioning: testing the operation of each module, checking automatic load balancing, switching between power modes, calibrating sensors;
- Load testing of the entire system: module failure simulation, redundancy test, battery-powered operation check;
- Preparation of a work completion report detailing repaired components, test results, and recommendations.
If necessary, repairs can be performed at our service facility, where all the necessary test benches for checking high-power multi-module systems are available.
Battery replacement
MODULYS XL can operate with scalable external battery packs. We offer the following services:
- Replacement of lead-acid batteries (AGM/GEL) — with selection of appropriate capacity and type to maintain N+1 functionality;
- Upgrading battery systems based on LiFePO4 with BMS and the option for remote monitoring:
- Extending the service life to 6,000+ cycles;
- Compact design and lighter battery cabinets;
- Safe operation across a wide temperature range;
- Fast charging without overheating or degradation;
- Flexible integration with MODULYS XL control systems.
- Extended backup capacity: increased backup power time for mission-critical facilities (banks, data centers, medical facilities).
Service Support
- Scheduled Maintenance: module functionality checks, firmware updates, battery diagnostics, ventilation maintenance;
- Emergency response: urgent on-site visit within 24 hours of the customer’s request;
- Real-time monitoring: connection via Ethernet, SNMP, MODBUS, integration into SCADA for failure prevention;
- Consulting and staff training: recommendations for the operation and maintenance of modular UPS systems;
- Complete technical documentation: inspection reports, event logs, service records, and defect reports.
Service Agreement
Total-Energo LLC enters into long-term maintenance agreements for MODULYS XL under the following terms:
- Scheduled maintenance — 2–4 times a year with a full system inspection;
- Priority support — rapid response, expedited delivery of spare parts;
- SLAs for data centers and banks — agreed-upon response times, engineer on-call;
- Battery degradation reports, recommendations for modernization and upgrades;
- Maintenance of the facility’s technical history — all events, maintenance, repairs, and parameters are stored for auditing.
