Total-Energo LLC provides professional services for repair and maintenance of Powercom VRT (Vanguard Rack) uninterruptible power supplies—single-phase online UPS units with double conversion (VFI) technology, designed for installation in 19" server racks. These models are designed to provide stable power to servers, data storage systems, network and switching equipment, process control systems, and other critical loads.
Powercom VRT supports capacities up to 10 kVA, features an LCD display, integrated RS-232, USB, SNMP, and MODBUS interfaces, as well as the ability to connect external battery packs to extend runtime. The protection system covers overvoltage, short circuit, overheating, overload, and output frequency fluctuations.
Repair Work Procedure
- Initial Diagnostics: reading errors, assessing the operational status of the inverter, rectifier, bypass, and charging module;
- Checking communication interfaces: verifying the correct operation of SNMP, USB, and Dry Contact; testing communication with monitoring software;
- Battery condition analysis: measurement of capacity, internal resistance, voltage, identification of degraded batteries;
- Cooling system cleaning: blowing out filters, replacing worn fans, checking temperature sensors;
- Replacement of faulty components: IGBTs, drivers, charge controllers, logic boards, capacitors;
- Calibration of the monitoring system and firmware updates (if necessary);
- Commissioning after repair: load testing, checking the switch to battery mode;
- Preparation of a work completion report with recommendations for further operation.
If complex components (inverter or control boards) need to be repaired, the repair is performed at the service center of Total-Energo LLC using diagnostic equipment and test benches.
Battery replacement and modernization
The Powercom VRT series can be operated with internal or external batteries. “Total-Energo” LLC offers:
- Replacement of lead-acid batteries (AGM, GEL) with new ones with a service life of 5–10 years;
- Upgrade to LiFePO4 batteries:
- Extended service life up to 10–15 years;
- Higher number of cycles (up to 6,000);
- Lighter weight and more compact design;
- BMS system for monitoring and protection;
- High safety during operation in server rooms.

- Periodic maintenance: inspection of the control board, batteries, cooling system, and SNMP communication;
