Total-Energo LLC provides a full range of services for repair and maintenance of Powercom MRT (Macan Rack & Tower) series uninterruptible power supplies. These models are designed to provide reliable power to critical equipment in telecommunications, medical, industrial, and IT infrastructures, ensuring high-quality power thanks to double conversion (VFI) technology.
Powercom MRT UPSs support rack mounting or standalone tower installation, are equipped with a color LCD display, SNMP support, MODBUS, RS-232/RS-485, a wide input voltage range, and the ability to connect external battery packs to extend runtime.
Repair Work Procedure
- Initial Diagnostics: log analysis, verification of operating modes (online, bypass, battery), control logic testing;
- Inspection of power components: IGBTs, diodes, drivers, relays, power boards, protection circuits, DC capacitors;
- Battery condition assessment: checking voltage, resistance, capacity, analyzing cell degradation;
- Interface testing: SNMP cards, MODBUS, USB, Dry Contact, RS-232/485;
- Cleaning of the cooling system: flushing of radiators, replacement of fans, checking of temperature sensors;
- Preparation of a defect report including budget approval, spare part delivery schedules, and work procedures;
- Replacement of damaged modules: inverter, rectifier, charging module, control boards, display, connectors, etc.;
- Firmware update and parameter configuration according to the facility’s setup;
- Commissioning and debugging: testing operation in standalone and grid-connected modes, with and without bypass;
- Load testing: checking the UPS’s response to changes in consumption, simulating emergency scenarios;
- Signing the certificate of completion, commissioning the equipment with technical recommendations.
Complex repairs (power modules, IGBTs, main board) are performed at the service center of Total-Energo LLC using specialized equipment and proven components.
Battery replacement and modernization
Powercom MRT UPS systems are designed to work with external battery modules. We provide the following services:
- Replacement of worn-out AGM or GEL batteries with new VRLA units featuring extended service life;
- Upgrading to LiFePO4 batteries with the following advantages:
- Durability — up to 6,000 charge-discharge cycles;
- Reduced weight and size of the battery pack;
- Integration of a BMS system with monitoring of each cell;
- Safety: fire resistance, no gas emission;
- Fast charging and high operational stability.
- Battery pack balancing and configuration of charge/discharge algorithms in the UPS controller.
Powercom MRT service support
- Scheduled maintenance with inspection of battery condition, interfaces, cooling, and control logic;
- Network integration: installation and configuration of SNMP cards, logging, monitoring via SCADA or cloud platforms;
- Emergency response to failures: dispatch of a service engineer, on-site troubleshooting, or component replacement;
- Conducting load testing followed by the preparation of reports and graphs;
- Training facility personnel on the principles of operation, monitoring, and preventive maintenance.
