Total-Energo LLC provides professional diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services for KStar UCR series uninterruptible power supplies. These are single-phase or three-phase rack-mounted online UPS units (Rack/Tower) used to provide backup power for server, network, and telecommunications equipment. UCR series devices feature a high power factor, built-in bypass, extensive monitoring capabilities, and support modular battery connections. Total-Energo LLC performs repairs of any complexity using original spare parts and the manufacturer’s technical documentation.
Repair Work Procedure
Repairs of the KStar UCR Series are performed according to a clear procedure, which includes the following steps:
- Diagnostics — testing the inverter, rectifier, bypass circuit, control board, display, communication interfaces, ventilation, and battery;
- Preparation of a defect report — recording of malfunctions, preparation of a cost estimate, and agreement on the solution with the customer;
- Spare Parts Delivery — ordering necessary components from the manufacturer or official distributors (if they are not in stock);
- Device cleaning — removal of dust and dirt from internal modules, heat sinks, fans, and connections;
- Repair — replacement or repair of faulty circuit boards, power modules, protective elements, buttons, displays, etc.;
- Commissioning — verification of system parameters, testing of power modes, configuration of operating logic;
- Final testing — operation under load in all modes (online, bypass, standalone);
- Documentation — signing the work completion report, submission of the technical report, and operational recommendations.
If major repairs are required (at the component or microchip level), the work is performed at the service center of Total-Energo LLC using professional test bench equipment.
Battery pack replacement and upgrade
KStar UCR UPS units can operate with internal or external battery modules. Total-Energo LLC performs a full range of battery maintenance services:
- Diagnostics — checking voltage, current, capacity, internal resistance, and cell balance;
- Battery replacement — installation of new AGM or GEL batteries in accordance with the UPS’s technical specifications;
- Upgrade to LiFePO4 — upgrading the battery pack to increase runtime and system reliability.
Advantages of lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries over AGM/GEL:
- Extended service life — up to 15 years, over 4,000 cycles;
- Higher energy efficiency — stable voltage throughout discharge;
- Reduced weight and dimensions with the same performance;
- Built-in BMS system — automatic protection and cell balancing;
- Safety — thermal stability, no electrolyte leakage.
