Total-Energo LLC offers professional repair services for General Electric Lan Pro LP31 series three-phase uninterruptible power supplies, which are used to protect server equipment, industrial automation systems, telecommunications equipment, and criticalIT infrastructure projects. We service models with capacities ranging from 10 to 20 kVA, including the LP31-10kVA, LP31-15kVA, and LP31-20kVA. We guarantee prompt restoration of operational capability using original or recommended spare parts, in compliance with GE standards.
Repair Work Procedure
Repair work is performed in accordance with approved technical regulations and includes the following stages:
- Preliminary diagnostics — reviewing event logs, evaluating indicators, checking input/output parameters, and taking measurements in the rectifier, inverter, filtration, and battery assemblies.
- Compilation of a defect list — preparation of a report with conclusions regarding the causes of failures and further actions for restoration.
- Supply of spare parts — if necessary, prompt ordering of IGBT modules, control boards, ventilation components, network interfaces, switching systems, etc.
- Technical cleaning — removal of dust, soot, and oxides; cleaning of cooling and protection systems (fans, sensors, boards), which often cause overheating and malfunctions.
- Equipment repair — restoration or replacement of damaged components and modules in accordance with the device schematic.
- Commissioning — starting the UPS in various modes (mains, battery, bypass), checking the operation of automation, emergency switching, and output voltage stability.
- Load testing — comprehensive verification of performance under load using a test bench or live connection, measurement of efficiency, temperatures, noise, and runtime.
- Signing of the work completion report — provision of documentary confirmation of the full completion of the service intervention.
If critical damage is detected or complex soldering/repair of control board components is required, the work is performed at the service center of Total-Energo LLC.
Battery pack maintenance
All GE LP31 models operate in conjunction with an external battery pack. The reliability of the standalone mode directly depends on the condition of the batteries. We perform:
- Assessment of the condition of existing batteries including checks of voltage, resistance, and charge uniformity;
- Replacement of AGM/GEL batteries with original or compatible modules under warranty;
- Calculation of a new battery configuration taking into account capacity requirements, load, and runtime;
- Upgrade based on LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate batteries), with UPS control logic adaptation if necessary.
Advantages of LiFePO4 over AGM and GEL:
- Longer service life — up to 6,000 cycles at an 80% depth of discharge;
- Stable voltage even under high load;
- Smaller size and weight for the same capacity;
- Safer operation — built-in BMS control systems protect against overheating and short circuits;
- Better efficiency during frequent cycling (for heavy-duty operating modes).
We perform full integration of new batteries with the inverter unit, verification of charging currents and temperature conditions, and connection via an external switching unit or directly to the UPS.
Service support and preventive maintenance
Total-Energo LLC provides technical maintenance for the GE Lan Pro LP31 both on a one-time basis and as part of a subscription service. The preventive maintenance program includes:
- Checking component service life and thermal wear;
- Testing mode switching (mains/battery/bypass);
- Inspection of terminals, fans, and contacts — tightening, cleaning, lubrication;
- Controller software updates (model-dependent);
- Recommendations for replacement or modernization before critical failures occur;
- Maintenance of a technical log of service history.
Signing a service agreement
At the customer’s request, we conclude a service agreement that provides for:
- Periodic maintenance (quarterly, semi-annually);
- Prompt response to service calls within the agreed timeframe;
- Scheduled battery replacement without emergency production stoppages;
- Regular updates to documentation and staff training;
- Financial predictability of service costs.
Under the contract, priority technical support, consultations, and monitoring of UPS parameters are provided remotely or on-site.
General Electric LP31 — a reliable but technologically complex backup power system. Its effective and safe operation is only possible with timely maintenance. Entrust repairs only to authorized technical partners — Total-Energo LLC.
