Total-Energo LLC provides professional repair services for General Electric GT series uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), specifically the GT6000 and GT10000 models. We perform repairs of any complexity in compliance with the manufacturer’s requirements, using proven methods, qualified personnel, and mandatory testing after all work is completed. Work is carried out both on-site and at the certified service center of Total-Energo LLC.
Repair Work Procedure
To ensure the highest quality of service and compliance with regulatory standards, UPS repairs are performed according to the following clearly defined procedure:
- Diagnostics and technical inspection of equipment — initial inspection, connection of monitoring devices, checking the condition of power modules, control boards, interfaces, and the battery pack.
- Fault identification — analysis of diagnostic results and preparation of a technical condition report indicating the causes of failures and recommendations for defect rectification.
- Assessment of spare parts availability — if certain components are not in stock at Total-Energo LLC, original spare parts or recommended equivalents are ordered from suppliers.
- Device cleaning — cleaning of ventilation ducts, cooling radiators, control board surfaces, and other components to remove dust, contaminants, and traces of corrosion.
- Repair work — restoration or replacement of failed components, including control modules, switching relays, interface boards, and switching units.
- Commissioning — verification of correct installation, voltages, and load currents; system startup in test mode.
- Final testing — testing the UPS under load, simulating the transition to standalone mode, testing runtime and power restoration.
- Documentation — signing the certificate of completion, providing a technical report and recommendations for further operation.
In the case of complex or lengthy repairs, work is performed exclusively at our service center in compliance with all electrical safety standards and internal quality control procedures.
Features of GT Series UPS Repair
One of the key aspects of servicing General Electric GT6000 / GT10000 is the condition of the battery pack. In the vast majority of cases, UPS units fail due to battery degradation, untimely replacement, or incorrect charging cycle settings.
Total-Energo LLC performs battery replacements with both batteries that have identical specifications and alternative batteries with improved parameters (autonomous runtime, temperature stability, cycle life). If necessary, modernization is possible with a transition from AGM/GEL to LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) batteries.
Advantages of LiFePO4 compared to AGM and GEL:
- Extended service life — up to 10 years with proper operation.
- High voltage stability throughout the entire discharge cycle.
- Higher cycle count — over 2,000 in standard mode.
- Lightweight and compact, which reduces the load on the UPS chassis.
- Enhanced safety — low risk of thermal runaway, automatic shutdown in case of overheating.
All batteries are tested for compatibility with the UPS’s operating logic, including charge control systems, BMS (Battery Management System), and the device’s software.
Service and maintenance
Total-Energo LLC provides comprehensive service for General Electric GT series UPSs, including:
- Regular technical diagnostics of devices
- Cleaning and preventive maintenance of electronic units
