Total-Energo LLC provides professional repair services for the AEC UPS Online UPS Rack IST9 series of uninterruptible power supplies. We perform repairs of any complexity using certified replacement parts and in strict accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines. We guarantee the restoration of functionality, output voltage stability, and proper interaction with connected equipment.
Repair Work Procedure
- Diagnostics. Specialists at Total-Energo LLC conduct a full technical inspection of the IST9 UPS, assessing the condition of power modules, control boards, inputs and outputs, bypass components, cooling fans, temperature sensors, and communication interfaces. Internal faults are identified, and the mode switching logic, voltage stability, and battery operation are checked.
- Spare Parts Supply. If the necessary components are not in stock, we arrange for rapid delivery through official channels. We supply exclusively original AEC spare parts or fully compatible alternatives that have passed technical testing.
- Device cleaning. Internal cleaning is performed to remove dust, oxidation, carbon deposits, and condensation residue. This is particularly important for models in server racks with limited ventilation. Contaminants are removed from heat sinks, coolers, connectors, and busbars.
- Repair. Depending on the defects found, modules are replaced or refurbished: inverter boards, power supply boards, sensor elements, IGBT drivers, communication units, SNMP/RS485 interfaces, control and display panels.
- Commissioning. After component replacement, operating parameters are configured—input and output voltage, frequency, switching thresholds, battery charging parameters, and bypass mode. Full synchronization of all modules and automatic power switching is ensured.
- Testing. The UPS is tested using a simulated load. The following are checked: output voltage stability, inverter performance accuracy, response to mains power failure, switchover time, battery charge-discharge cycles, and communication with server monitoring systems.
- Signing of work completion reports. Upon completion of the repair, the customer receives a complete set of documents—a work completion report, a diagnostic report, a list of installed parts, test results, and recommendations for further operation.
Features of AEC UPS IST9 Repair
- Modular Design: the IST9 is characterized by high component density in a rack-mount configuration. Repair requires precision when removing and replacing modules, including work with high-voltage circuits.
- Intelligent control: the correct operation of digital controllers, firmware updates, and compatibility with BMS (Battery Management System) systems are verified.
- Overheating prevention: restoring the efficiency of cooling systems is crucial, especially when operating under high thermal loads in server rooms.
Battery maintenance
- Battery replacement: we perform a complete replacement of the battery pack with new original batteries that meet IST9 requirements for voltage, capacity, and charging modes. In the event of degradation of old batteries, disposal is ensured in accordance with regulations.
- Upgrade to LiFePO4: upon customer request, it is possible to upgrade the battery from AGM/GEL to lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4). Advantages of such an upgrade:
- long service life (up to 10–12 years);
- high energy density;
- stable operation under high loads;
- minimal self-discharge;
- up to 5,000 deep discharge cycles.
- Battery balancing and testing: checks are performed on internal resistance, charge uniformity, temperature characteristics, and adaptation of new batteries to the IST9 UPS operating logic.
Service support and contractual maintenance
Total-Energo LLC provides a full range of service support for AEC UPS IST9 series equipment throughout Ukraine. We service both individual devices and multi-server systems with parallel operation of several UPS units. If necessary, the customer can enter into a long-term maintenance contract that includes regular preventive inspections, battery replacement, remote monitoring, and emergency response. The contract also provides for prompt response from the service team and on-site visits in critical situations.
