Thanks to the NMEA 2000 interface, direct visualization of power system parameters on the display of navigation equipment is possible, which significantly increases the convenience and safety of navigation.
What does commissioning include
1. System and equipment check
- Chartplotter compatibility assessment: Simrad NSS, B&G Zeus, Lowrance HDS
- Check for GX device (Cerbo GX, Venus GX) with NMEA 2000 support
- Check for compatible devices: SmartShunt, BMV, MPPT, MultiPlus, Quattro
2. Connecting to the NMEA 2000 network
- Installing the Victron VE.Can to NMEA 2000 adapter (if necessary)
- Physical connection to the network: backbone, T-connectors, terminators
- Check device addressing, detection in the MFD menu
3. Configuration and output of parameters
- Assignment and verification of PGN: SOC, voltage, current, inverter status, PV power
- Output of information in the form of widgets, panels or digital graphs
- Optimization of display for navigation conditions and day/night mode
4. Testing and verification of synchronization
- Simulation of modes: charge, discharge, source switching
- Analysis of delay, relevance and correctness of display
- Integration test with VRM-portal and Color Control GX (as a data source)
5. Crew or owner briefing
- Demonstration of the interface of the energy data pages
- Explanation of values: SOC, load, charge/discharge, PV
- Transfer of the integration diagram, PGN description and maintenance recommendations
