Total-Energo LLC provides a service of professional adjustment of relays with a “dry contact” output (dry contact) as part of Victron Energy-based systems. Such relays are used for generator start, load switching, alarm signaling or ventilation control. Adjustment is carried out via Cerbo GX, Color Control GX or other GX series controllers.
What includes commissioning work
1. System and control goal assessment
- Determination of relay function: generator, emergency, remote control
- Selecting available output: Relay 1, Relay 2, Digital output 1/2
- Checking compatibility with the controlled device (e.g. 12/24 V, up to 4 A)
- Forming logic and triggering conditions (SOC, Alarm, Temp, Load)
2. Connection and configuration
- Connection to Cerbo GX terminals or external contactor
- Settings in the interface: Settings → Relay
- Event binding: Low battery, Generator start, Inverter state, Alarm
- Relay mode: Normally Open (NO) or Normally Closed (NC)
3. Operation testing
- Simulation of start-up conditions and verification of relay activation
- Analysis of stability, response speed
- Verification of return to normal state after an event
4. Documentation and instruction
- Recording the connection diagram and operating logic
- Customer instruction: when and how the relay is activated
- Recommendations for connecting to external devices: alarm, generator, contactor
Examples of dry contacts
- Automatic generator start at SOC < 20%
- Alarming of overload, overheating or loss of communication with VRM
- Shutting down non-critical loads in energy saving mode
- Turning on ventilation at battery temperature > 45°C or inverter > 60°C
