What is included in commissioning
1. System configuration assessment
- Verifying the generator connection to the inverter's AC Input
- Determining the control type: dry contact, ATS, CAN-bus, remote control
- Analysis of the role of Cerbo GX / GX Touch as a logical start controller
- Evaluation of load, battery capacity, power scenarios
2. Setting generator start conditions
- Selecting start triggers: SOC, battery voltage, load, manual mode
- Setting start thresholds: SOC (e.g., start at 20%, stop at 95%)
- Additional conditions: night mode, time window, delay between starts
3. Connection to control interfaces
- Configuration of Cerbo GX digital inputs/outputs
- Connection via Relay, Digital Input or VE.Bus BMS
- Function test: Dry Contact, Timed Start, NO/NC Relay
4. Checking operating scenarios
- Automatic generator start in case of battery discharge or network loss
- Support of peak loads by the generator
- Checking correct switching between AC Input 1 / 2
5. Integration with VRM
- Display generator status on Victron Remote Management (VRM)
- Logging of start-up events: time, duration, reason
- Configure notifications: start-up, fault, timeout
6. User instruction
- Explanation of the generator start and stop logic
- Switching between manual and automatic modes
- Recommendations for test starts, maintenance, and prevention
