Victron Quattro inverters are most often used in systems with multiple power sources: mains, generator, battery, solar panels — therefore correct configuration is critically important for stable operation.
What is included in commissioning work
1. System assessment and verification
- Checking DC cables, AC input/output phase, grounding
- Battery compatibility analysis: type, BMS, interfaces (CAN, VE.Bus, Relay)
- Overview of inverter installation, batteries, protective elements
2. Inverter configuration via VEConfigure
- Selecting LiFePO₄ charging profile or manual entry of bulk/absorption/float
- Limiting charging voltage and current according to BMS
- Setting emergency limits: overvoltage, temperature, charging stop
- Configuring PowerAssist and PowerControl (controlling consumption from the grid)
3. Integration with the BMS system
- Connection of VE.Bus BMS, GX BMS or third-party via digital inputs
- Configuration of reactions to signals: Allow to charge/discharge, Error, Low Temp
- Stop charging in case of loss of communication with the BMS
4. Configuration of power sources
- Configuration of AC Input 1 (network) and AC Input 2 (generator)
- Setting current limits for each input
- Programming of switching modes: automatic, priority, manual
5. Monitoring and integration with VRM
- Connecting Cerbo GX / Color Control GX / GlobalLink 520
- Verifying data in Victron Remote Management (VRM)
- Configuring logging, email notifications, portal access
6. Final work and briefing
- Testing the system in all modes: charge, discharge, switching, accidents
- Documenting settings, saving configuration
- Instructing the customer on use, modes, maintenance
