Total-Energo LLC performs a full range of commissioning and adjustment works for setting up an energy storage system (ESS) based on three Victron Energy Quattro inverters combined in a three-phase configuration. Such a system allows you to control consumption and generation on each phase, interact with the grid, generator and PV sources simultaneously, and also creates a reserve for critical loads.
What is included in ESS commissioning and adjustment works
1. System audit and configuration check
- Checking the VE.Bus connection between inverters on phases L1, L2, L3
- Assigning Master / Slave roles, firmware matching, synchronization test
- Checking the connection of Cerbo GX / GX Touch and meter (EM540 / Carlo Gavazzi)
- Identifying additional sources: PV, generator, backup power
2. ESS mode activation
- Enabling ESS in the Cerbo GX menu
- Selecting the operating mode: Self-consumption, Optimized, Backup only
- Setting export to the network: complete prohibition or limitation by phases
3. Battery operation parameters
- Setting the battery type: LiFePO₄, GEL, AGM
- Setting the SOC range (e.g., 20-95%)
- Limiting the charge/discharge currents according to the BMS or manufacturer
- Temperature compensation, phase optimization
4. Generation integration (PV/inverters)
- Detection of PV sources: MPPT controllers or AC-coupled inverters
- Generation distribution: load, battery charge, export limitation
- Optimization of behavior during unstable generation or peak consumption
5. Working with the VRM portal
- Connection to VRM, device registration
- Data output by phases: SOC, PV, import/export, charge, load
- Configuration of alerts, logs, graphs, reports
6. Testing and transfer of the object
- Testing the system under different loads on each phase
- Simulation of mains loss, generator start, operation in reserve mode
- Scenarios: day, night, generation = 0
- Saving the configuration, staff instruction, maintenance recommendations
