Total-Energo LLC provides a service for professional configuration of an energy storage system (ESS) based on a Victron Energy MultiPlus or MultiPlus-II inverter in a single-phase configuration. ESS allows you to optimize energy consumption, reduce dependence on the grid, effectively use solar generation and create a buffer for power supply during periods of peak tariffs or accidents.
What does ESS commissioning include
1. Checking compatibility and system structure
- Analysis of the connection diagram: grid → MultiPlus → load
- Checking the presence of Cerbo GX or other GX device
- Integration with MPPT controllers or external PV inverters
- Checking the connection of energy meter (ET112, EM540, etc.)
2. Enabling ESS mode
- Activating ESS in the Settings → ESS menu on Cerbo GX
- Selecting the operating mode: Optimized with BatteryLife, Self-consumption only or Keep Batteries Charged
- Setting the export restriction to the grid ("No feed-in")
3. Charge / discharge configuration
- Setting the SOC range (e.g., 20%-100%)
- Limiting charge / discharge currents according to BMS or battery type
- Taking into account daily load scenarios and PV production
4. Integration with VRM portal
- Linking the device to the VRM account
- Configuring logging, email notifications, backups
- Displaying graphs: generation, SOC, load, import/export
5. ESS logic testing
- Scenario simulation: night load, PV charging, grid transfer
- Checking system reactions to load overload
- Testing transition to Backup mode when the grid is disconnected
6. User training
- Overview of the Cerbo GX and VRM interface
- Recommendations for monitoring and servicing ESS
- Transfer of settings, documentation, configuration profile
