Ready-to-install single-phase backup power kit based on the Victron Energy Quattro 48/10000/140-100/100 230 V 10 kVA / 8 kW and a LiFePO₄ Sunlight Power ESS 51.2 V 100 Ah battery provides an energy reserve of 20.48 kWh, automatic switching between the grid and the battery (≤20 ms) and a fast charging rate — up to 2.3 hours.
The runtime is specified in the technical specifications depending on the load power.

Unique features of the Victron Quattro inverter
⚡ Two independent AC IN inputs — complete flexibility
The Victron Quattro inverter has two full-featured grid inputs (AC IN 1 and AC IN 2), opening up a wide range of application options:
- Connecting two independent inputs from different substations or power sources — the system can automatically switch between them based on priorities. For example, if power is lost on the main input, the Quattro instantly switches to the backup. Combination of grid and generator.
- Grid + generator combination — a classic scenario where AC IN 1 is connected to the utility grid and AC IN 2 to a diesel or gasoline generator.
🔄 Intelligent generator operation algorithm
- Automatic start: when the battery charge level (SoC) drops to a set threshold—for example, 25%—Quattro sends a command via the Cerbo GX Mk2 to automatically start the generator with mandatory preheating.
- Parallel operation: during operation, the generator not only powers the load but also charges the battery via a powerful built-in charger
- Automatic shutdown: once the set charge level is reached (for example, 90%), the system switches the generator to cooling mode, lets it run for a few minutes at idle speed, and then automatically shuts it down.
- Flexible schedule: Using Cerbo GX, you can set a schedule specifying the hours when the generator is allowed to start (e.g., from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM), and block auto-start at night to avoid noise
- Remote control: the owner can disable automatic start-up and manually start or stop the generator from a smartphone or computer. At the same time, you can immediately set the maximum runtime (for example, 60 minutes).
⚙️ Working with weak generators
The PowerControl and PowerAssist features allow the Quattro to operate even with low-power generators.
When the load exceeds the generator’s capacity, the inverter draws power from the batteries, and when the load decreases, it recharges the batteries.
This ensures stable operation without the risk of overloading the generator and without power outages, even during peak demand.
⛽ Fuel Monitoring and Maintenance
We offer installation of a fuel level sensor fuel, the data from which is displayed in the Cerbo GX / VRM system.
The owner can view the current fuel level, and the system can send a notification if the tank is running low (this feature is supported by Cerbo GX via an analog input).
The system also keeps track of the generator's operating time and reminds you of maintenance tasks—oil changes, filter replacements, or spark plug inspections.

When connected to the grid, the system can deliver up to 22 kW, allowing you to run several high-power devices simultaneously. The limitation to the inverter's rated power of 8 kW applies only when operating on batteries.

Thanks to its high overload capacity, the system easily starts powerful pumps, refrigeration compressors, HVAC equipment, and electric motors even when running on battery power.

The built-in powerful charger allows you to fully charge the battery in just 2.3 hours, so the system is always ready for new outages.
The battery charging process is controlled by the built-in BMS (Battery Management System), which continuously exchanges information with the charger during charging. Voltage and current are adjusted according to the battery’s requirements.
This feature makes the backup power system completely safe to use.
📱 Full control from your smartphone
Thanks to the VictronConnect and VRM Portal, you gain full control over the system in real time. On the screen, you can see:
- presence or absence of the grid;
- current load;
- battery charge level (%);
- charger status.

All system components are fully ready for operation as part of a solar power plant. Quattro inverters are compatible with grid-tied inverters from Fronius, SMA, ABB, and SolarEdge, making it easy to convert an existing system into a hybrid system—with the ability to store energy in a battery and operate even without grid connection!
🔄 Scalability
Quattro can be connected in parallel or in a three-phase configuration. You can start with a single-phase solution and then expand the capacity or switch to a three-phase system.
Sunlight batteries support operation of up to 32 modules in parallel, thanks to special firmware developed for Victron Energy inverters.
🛡️ 100% safe to use
The kit is installed in accordance with all manufacturer requirements and the actual conditions at the customer’s site. The system continuously analyzes hundreds of parameters—from load and voltage to temperature and battery status.
In case of a deviation from the norm , a service notification is sent to the service center of Total-Energo LLC and to the user.
🧾 Warranty and Certification
Installation is performed in accordance with the manufacturers' instructions, which guarantees free replacement of components under warranty (5 years).
For private, commercial, and government clients, an annual service agreement is available, which includes:
- software updates to the latest version
- analysis and monitoring of parameters
- inspection of connections and nodes
All major system components have international and Ukrainian certifications, which is important for participation in “green tariff” or “net billing” programs.

⚙️ Installation Algorithm
Needs Assessment
The first stage, during which the manager identifies the tasks that the UPS system must address. This will provide us with a preliminary technical specification.

Reservation and payment
Reserving the necessary parts in stock, generating an invoice, and, if necessary, preparing a supply contract.
Engineer visit to assess the site
An on-site inspection is sometimes mandatory, for example, when installing high-power systems, or for additional work, such as when an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system needs to be integrated with an existing generator.
Preparation of consumables
Mounting hardware, AC and DC cables, protective and insulating materials, etc.
Electrical installation work
Delivery and electrical installation work usually take place on the same day. Installation takes anywhere from a few hours to several days for high-capacity systems. The cost of delivery and electrical installation services is calculated separately for each case.
Commissioning and Testing
Configuration and verification of the uninterruptible power supply unit in all modes: charging, discharging, simulation of power loss and restoration, etc.
Transfer of documentation and control rights
Warranty card and, if necessary, additional documents (certificates, invoices, etc.), as well as user training. User registration for the VRM cloud service and transfer of rights for monitoring and operating the system. If necessary – assistance with installing apps on a phone for control and configuring push notifications.
Online support via VRM
The UPS will be under constant monitoring to ensure there is no indication of potential discrepancies in power output or battery capacity. The service center monitors all technical parameters of each component ensuring they remain within the normal range.
