Riello Sentryum — is a new generation three-phase online UPS with VFI (Voltage and Frequency Independent) topology, providing zero switching time, precise power regulation and scalability. Available in Compact (CPT), Active (ACT) and Xtend (XTD) versions, this UPS is used in critical IT infrastructures, industrial systems, healthcare facilities, banks and data centers. Diagnostics cover all key components — from power modules to battery systems, cooling systems and communication interfaces.
What diagnostics include
Inspection / audit
- Configuration assessment: power, type of execution (CPT, ACT, XTD), number of connected battery cabinets.
- Installation and connection check: correct phasing, grounding, external source and load supply.
- Visual inspection of the housing, power sections, electrical terminals, ventilation ducts, control panel.
- Evaluation of the operating environment: ventilation, temperature, access for maintenance.
Electrical tests
- Input voltage analysis for each phase: stability, symmetry, frequency.
- Output voltage control: level, frequency, sinusoidality, voltage under load.
- Checking the inverter operation under different loads, including pulse currents.
- Testing automatic switching between sources: mains, inverter and bypass, measuring switching time.
Inverter / bypass testing
- Inverter functional test: response to load changes, harmonics level, voltage stability.
- Static bypass: checking switching speed, synchronization with the mains, response in case of overload or inverter failure.
- Analysis of system logs: switching, emergency events, history of warnings and interventions.
Battery system
- Visual inspection of batteries: condition of housings, terminals, cables, absence of swelling or leakage electrolyte.
- Measuring the voltage of individual batteries or blocks, checking the balance.
- Evaluating the efficiency of the charger: voltage and current in Boost/Float modes, stability.
- Possible testing of autonomous operation: disconnecting the network, fixing the power duration.
Cooling
- Evaluating the operation of fans in all modules: speed, noise level, stability of operation under load.
- Temperature control of inverter sections, batteries, control module.
- Checking the cleanliness of air ducts, filters, grilles.
Communications / monitoring
- Checking the display and control menu: reading parameters, viewing event logs, setting operating modes.
- Testing SNMP cards, Modbus, USB, RS-232: communication stability, compliance with parameters, event logging.
- Integration with BMS or external SCADA systems — data exchange check.
Technical report
- Generation of a report from all functional blocks: inverter status, battery, cooling, communications.
- Recording of detected deviations, errors, events, overloads, temperature failures.
- Service recommendations: cooling cleaning, battery replacement, software update, configuration modernization.

- Annually — to maintain guaranteed performance and extend service life.
- After launching a new facility or connecting additional battery modules.
- After emergency switching to bypass, power failures or reduced backup time.
- After prolonged downtime, when removing from reserve or after changing the load configuration.
