Legrand KEOR S — is a single-phase line-interactive UPS with sine wave output, designed to protect telecommunications equipment, automated systems, peripherals and home servers. Thanks to its compact form factor (Tower), KEOR S is ideal for local deployment in small and medium-sized offices, with the possibility of connecting external batteries (in models with higher capacity). To ensure reliable operation of this class of UPS, regular technical diagnostics are required, including monitoring of power supply parameters, battery system, and the status of key components.
What diagnostics include
Inspection/audit
- Identification of model, power, indication status, and firmware version.
- Inspection of the condition of the housing, ventilation holes, connections to the load, and the network.
- Checking the placement conditions: availability of ventilation, influence of external factors (moisture, dust, heat).
Electrical tests
- Checking the network power supply parameters: input voltage, frequency, stability.
- Analysis of the output voltage in normal mode and when switching to the battery.
- Testing switching to battery power and returning to normal mode.
- Evaluation of stability and absence of interference in the output signal (True Sine Wave).
Inverter / bypass / charger test
- Inverter operation test: sine wave, frequency, load capacity.
- Automatic bypass functionality (for models where provided).
- Charging circuit analysis: charge voltage, stability, adaptation to the battery type.
Battery (battery system)
- Inspection of the condition of internal batteries (if provided) or connected external battery modules.
- Voltage measurement and check of balance between cells.
- Check of charge in standby mode and response to network loss.
- Possibility of performing a control test of autonomy (upon agreement with the customer).
Cooling
- Checking the ventilation status: fan rotation, noise level, cleanliness of the channels.
- Assessing the temperature regime of the case and power elements under load.
Communications / monitoring
- Reviewing the operation of indicators, buttons and display (if any).
- Testing the USB port and integration with software for monitoring the status (for example, UPS Management Software).
- Checking the presence and operation of the SNMP module (for models with optional boards).
Technical report
- Fixing all test results in a unified technical report.
- Detecting errors, battery degradation, switching failures or loss of capacity.
- Providing technical recommendations for further operation or maintenance.
When diagnostics are needed
- Scheduled — once a year to detect initial signs of malfunctions.
- After an emergency power outage or loss of autonomous resource.
- Before replacing batteries or during unstable operation of the equipment.
- After long-term storage or startup after downtime.
