Legrand Keor MOD RI — is a modular three-phase uninterruptible power supply system in 19’’ format for installation in server cabinets. It provides double voltage conversion (VFI-SS-111) and is designed for telecommunications, data centers, banking equipment and engineering infrastructure. The hot-swap architecture allows you to configure the system power from 25 to 250 kVA with N+X redundancy. Thanks to its compact design and flexible scalability, Keor MOD RI allows you to save space in racks and supports critical loads without downtime. Diagnostics of this system are key to detecting degradation of modules, batteries and other components operating in high load density mode.
What diagnostics include
Inspection / audit
- Identification of active, standby and inactive power modules, inspection of the chassis and connections.
- Assessment of the physical condition of the case, connectors, ventilation holes, rack mounting condition.
- Checking grounding systems, quality of terminal connections and switching equipment.
- Review of operating conditions: temperature, ventilation, cabinet mounting density.
Electrical tests
- Measurement of input parameters: voltage, frequency, phase balancing.
- Control of the output voltage of each module: symmetry, regulation accuracy, waveform.
- Assessment of system operation under load, response to changes in consumption.
- Checking efficiency parameters: THDi, THDu, power factor, efficiency.
Inverter / rectifier / bypass check
- Testing the operation of each module: inverter, rectifier, power switches.
- Checking the operation of the static bypass: switching, synchronization, absence of errors.
- Reading internal logs: accidents, failures, history of events and system responses.
- Assessing uniform load distribution between modules, detecting worn elements.
Battery (battery system)
- Inspection of battery cabinets or internal units: connection, temperature, ventilation.
- Checking the voltage of each unit, internal resistance, charging/discharging currents.
- Analysis of Float/Boost modes, voltage balancing between battery cells.
- Possibility of performing a control test of autonomy (upon agreement with the client).
Cooling
- Checking the module fans: condition, rotation speed, presence of noise or wear.
- Monitoring the temperatures of power components under load.
- Inspection of the condition of air ducts and filters within the cabinet or rack.
Communications / monitoring
- Testing the local display and control panel: reading parameters, navigation.
- Checking network interfaces: SNMP, Modbus TCP/RTU, RS-485, Dry Contact (optional).
- Integration with BMS or external SCADA systems (with availability).
Technical report
- Complete technical report: parameters, test results, event logs.
- Detection of module degradation, overloads, battery or fan defects.
- Recommendations for module replacement, battery maintenance, software updates.
When diagnostics are required
- Regularly (at least once a year), as part of technical regulations.
- After reports of failures, warnings, or removal of modules from reserve.
- After adding, replacing, or moving modules or battery cabinets.
- After a prolonged power outage, or putting the system into standby mode.
