KStar YDC3300 — are three-phase online double-conversion UPSs designed to protect highly sensitive equipment in data centers, industrial facilities, telecommunications hubs and medical institutions. The series features high efficiency, wide input voltage range, parallel operation capability and stable sinusoidal output voltage even under dynamic load. Diagnostics of these UPSs requires a sequential check of all key functional blocks.
What diagnostics include
Inspection / audit
- Visual inspection of the housing, display, indicators, ventilation grilles and terminals.
- Analysis of the operating environment: temperature, humidity, dust, ventilation, mounting clearances.
- Checking power connections: three phases, neutral, ground, terminal connections.
- Inspection of parallel connections (if there is an N+1/N+X configuration).
Electrical tests
- Measurement of input voltage and frequency on all phases, assessment of compliance with the rating.
- Checking output voltage, phase symmetry, harmonic distortion, stability frequencies.
- Testing switching between mains, inverter and bypass — automatic and manual.
- Evaluation of operation under load, response to power surges or input voltage drops.
Inverter / bypass test
- Inverter parameter control: waveform, frequency, voltage, load compliance.
- Bypass operation check: switching time, phase synchronization, relay operation.
- Evaluation of operation when returning from bypass to inverter mode.
Battery (battery system)
- Inspection of battery cabinets (internal or external): connection, circuit integrity, temperature.
- Measurement of battery voltage by groups or modules, charge balance control.
- Evaluation of charger operation: voltage, current, charge mode, adaptability to battery type.
- Transition check on battery: real time of autonomous operation, voltage stability.
Cooling
- Checking all fans: presence of rotation, noise, correspondence of speed to temperature.
- Analysis of temperature indicators by power modules and battery compartments.
- Inspection of heat exchangers and ventilation ducts for dust or blockages.
Communications / monitoring
- Testing SNMP, RS-232, RS-485, USB interfaces: communication with software, data transfer, response to commands.
- Checking integration with SCADA/BMS systems or proprietary software (if used).
- Analysis of event logs: history of failures, accidents, switching, warnings about battery status or overheating.
Technical report
- Generation of a complete diagnostic report for each node: input, inverter, bypass, battery, cooling.
- Fixing detected malfunctions, element degradation or unstable operation.
- Recommendations for battery replacement, parameter adjustment, software update or system modernization.
When diagnostics are required
- Annual preventive maintenance in accordance with regulations or operating conditions.
- Complaints about power failures, switching to bypass, reduced autonomous time.
- Emergency power outage, system start-up from battery or prolonged operation without verification.
- Before integration with new loads or commissioning of the facility.
