Kehua UPS+S³ all-in-one — is a comprehensive solution that combines a three-phase online UPS, a lithium battery system and a distribution module in a single cabinet. The system is focused on critical infrastructure: data centers, medical institutions, industrial controllers, telecom centers. By integrating the inverter part, BMS, automatic bypass and monitoring system, UPS+S³ provides reliable and compact backup power with a minimum number of external connections. Diagnostics of such a system requires a comprehensive check of all subsystems — from the inverter and battery to the control logic and communication modules.
What does diagnostics include?
Inspection/audit
- Overview of the general condition of the integrated cabinet: housing, displays, indicators, protection modules, ventilation.
- Analysis of external connections: input, output, grounding, service access, interfaces.
- Configuration check: UPS type, lithium battery capacity and structure, number of distribution channels.
- Fixing operating conditions: temperature, dust level, access to air exchange.
Electrical tests
- Measurement of input voltage and frequency parameters on all phases.
- Output voltage assessment: accuracy, symmetry, frequency, waveform under real and test load.
- Checking the stability of the inverter in the transition modes: grid-inverter-grid, bypass.
- Evaluation of the power quality on each distribution circuit (if applicable).
Inverter / bypass test
- Testing the inverter power and stability, checking phase synchronization.
- Checking the switching logic: internal/automatic bypass, response time, synchronization with the grid.
- Checking the inverter operation under partial load and peak surge conditions.
Battery (lithium battery system with BMS)
- Checking the battery connections: contact groups, signal cables, presence of insulation damage.
- Reading parameters from BMS: SOC, SOH, cell voltage, temperature, charge/discharge current.
- Evaluation of balance between cells, analysis of the log of protective events (overdischarge, overvoltage, overheating).
- Discharge test mode: voltage stability, duration of autonomous operation, BMS behavior.
Cooling
- Control of fan operation in the inverter, battery and distribution section.
- Measurement of temperature of power units and battery cells.
- Inspection of filters and ventilation ducts, checking heat exchange efficiency.
Communications / monitoring
- Testing of built-in interfaces: RS-485, Modbus, SNMP, CAN (for BMS), dry contacts.
- Checking communication between modules (UPS ↔ battery ↔ monitoring controller): data exchange, delays, errors.
- Reading logs: accidents, warnings, history of events of the inverter, BMS, distribution controller.
Technical report
- Preparation of a structured report for each unit: inverter, battery, bypass, cooling, communication.
- Analysis of potential faults: battery degradation, data exchange disruption, inverter failures.
- Recommendations for maintenance, modernization or preventive replacement of nodes.
When diagnostics are required
- At least once every 12 months — as part of scheduled maintenance.
- After startup or integration with other power supply or monitoring systems.
- In case of reduced autonomy time, BMS messages or communication failures with controllers.
- Before changing the load, moving the system or updating the software.
