Eaton Power Xpert 9395P — is a high-performance three-phase online double-conversion UPS designed for mission-critical applications such as large data centers, industrial plants, power plants, and telecommunications infrastructure. The 9395P combines maximum energy efficiency (up to 97.5%), modularity, configuration flexibility, and intelligent load management. Thanks to the modular architecture, diagnostics provide for a separate check of each power module, communication bus, interfaces and cooling systems.
What diagnostics include
Inspection / audit
- Inspection of the condition of power cabinets, individual power modules and controllers.
- Installation check: connection to the input/output network, battery, parallel bus.
- Assessment of operating conditions: ventilation, temperature in the location area, dust, humidity.
- Inspection of the status indication of the modules, display and emergency LEDs.
Electrical tests
- Measurement of input voltage by phases, frequency control, power stability.
- Analysis of output voltage under different loads: compliance with VFI-SS-111 class.
- Simulation of switching to inverter and return to normal mode — assessment of power continuity.
- Fault tolerance testing: checking operation in the event of a failure of one of the power modules.
Inverter / bypass / charge
- Testing the inverter channels of each module: signal quality, load balancing, temperature loads.
- Static bypass testing: switching speed, overload response.
- Evaluation of charger operating parameters: voltage, current, automatic charging modes.
- Analysis of Power Xpert Controller (PXC) event logs — failures, testing, configuration changes.
Battery system
- Inspection of battery connections, condition of cables, terminals, automatic monitoring system.
- Measurement of voltage on sections, assessment of temperature and balance.
- Checking autonomy time under load or simulation of emergency mode.
- Analysis of SOH (state of health) of batteries when the Battery Management System is connected.
Cooling
- Checking the operation of fans in each power module and the general circuit.
- Measurement of temperatures in critical areas: inverters, rectifiers, control boards.
- Assessment of filter cleanliness, absence of overheating or temperature failures.
Communications / monitoring
- PXC display test: reading parameters, logs, managing settings.
- Checking network interfaces: Modbus TCP, SNMP, Web interface, dry contacts.
- Evaluation of integration with DCIM, BMS, SCADA systems: correctness of data transmission.
- Checking the operation of relay outputs and alarm/service signals.
Technical report
- Full report with measurements, status of power modules, interfaces, logs.
- Diagnostics of battery condition and cooling with recommendations for maintenance.
- Conclusions on the readiness of the UPS for operation under the current load and conditions.
When diagnostics are required
- Annually — to confirm the technical serviceability of all power modules.
- After a failure, overload, module failure message or incorrect PXC operation.
- Before updating the firmware or changing the system configuration.
- In the event of a drop in battery life or changes in the behavior of the charging circuit.
