AEG Protect 8 Plus — is a powerful three-phase double-conversion uninterruptible power supply system (VFI-SS-111), designed for industrial facilities, the oil and gas sector, energy, telecommunications and transport. What diagnostics include
Inspection / audit
- Checking the condition of the housing, cabinet, thermal chambers, filters, mechanical elements.
- Assessment of installation, accessibility of elements, compliance with grounding and safety requirements.
- Visual inspection of power connections, terminals, insulation, external connections and backup lines.
- Analysis of operating conditions: ambient temperature, humidity, contamination.
Electrical tests
- Input voltage control for three phases: level, symmetry, frequency.
- Output voltage measurement: stability, form distortion signal, compliance with standards.
- Testing transients when switching between power sources.
- Evaluation of system efficiency: power factor, THDi/THDu, efficiency.
Inverter / rectifier / bypass testing
- Rectifier operation testing: voltage level, current, stability.
- Inverter analysis: control of the output waveform, frequency, load.
- Functional testing of static bypass: switching in both directions, synchronization with the network.
- Reading of event history, emergency logs, warning log.
Battery (battery system)
- Overview of the status of external battery cabinets or battery blocks: connection, temperature regime, ventilation.
- Measurement of voltage by sections, internal resistance, charging/discharging current.
- Analysis of charge uniformity, charger operation, Float/Boost modes.
- If possible — testing of autonomous operation or simulated discharge.
Cooling
- Checking the operation of fans, the presence of noise, stability of revolutions, the condition of power connections.
- Monitoring the temperature of power modules and control units under load.
- Inspection of ventilation ducts, condition of filters, their cleanliness and tightness.
Communications / monitoring
- Testing the display and control menu: correct display, access to settings, messages.
- Checking interfaces: Modbus, SNMP, Dry Contact, RS-232/RS-485, possibility of integration with SCADA.
- Controlling event logs, alarms, unloading logs for further analysis.
Technical report
- Preparing a complete technical protocol with measurement results, inspections, photo fixation.
- Assessment of the remaining resource of components, degree of battery wear, need for service.
- Providing conclusions and recommendations regarding further operation, the need for repair or modernization.
